"It's a crucial part of the presentation," she explains. "When potential buyers view the photos or videos, they only get a glimpse of the horse. To make a good impression, the horse needs to look its best, with ears forward, exuding presence and standing perfectly."
David Winter, a Tamworth-based horseman and farrier with decades of experience in the industry, has witnessed this massive change firsthand.
"It's a visual world we live in," he says. "Whether it's a pair of shoes, jeans, or a horse, people want to see it before they buy."
When he bought one of his first horses, photography wasn't even a consideration. "It's changed massively," he recalls. "Now, you can get a good idea of what you're getting into before you even see the horse in person."
