Draper Media's WINX-FM Transforms into Dockside Radio
After two months of festive Country Christmas tunes, Draper Media has made a switch on WINX-FM, St. Michaels/Easton MD, flipping it to a new format called 'Dockside Radio'. This exciting transformation brings a fresh and unique sound to the Mid-Shore area, catering to those who love life near the water.
The station's playlist is a delightful mix of genres, featuring Yacht Rock classics by Michael McDonald, Steely Dan, and Toto, as well as Beachy Country hits from Kenny Chesney and the Zac Brown Band. For those seeking a more relaxed vibe, 'Acoustic Chill' tracks by Jack Johnson, Sublime, and Colbie Caillat will be a perfect fit. And, of course, no Dockside Radio would be complete without the iconic Jimmy Buffett songs.
The station's new hosts are Matt Spence, the PD and afternoon host at sister station WCEI-FM, and Steve Monz, the Operations Manager and afternoon host at WGBG. Spence will take the morning airwaves, while Monz will bring his Classic Rock expertise to the afternoons.
To ensure a smooth transition for its former Country listeners, WINX-FM is promoting its sister stations: 'Coast Country' on WRDE-FM and WCEM-FM, WXCY in Havre de Grace, and '100.9 Classic Country' on WAAI. These stations will continue to provide the same great music and entertainment that fans have come to love.
Dockside Radio promises to be a unique and captivating addition to the Mid-Shore radio landscape, offering something for everyone who enjoys life by the water. So, tune in and let the good times roll!
